Arch-Door is a UK manufacturer and installer of bespoke architectural doors. We belong to S&K Group Holdings Ltd — a family of construction, glazing and joinery businesses with over fifteen years of trade behind it.
The reason we exist as a separate brand is simple: arched, curved and architectural doors are a craft that doesn't sit happily inside a general joinery operation. They need template-and-survey discipline, dedicated CAD time, and craftsmen who've built dozens of them. Arch-Door is the part of the group that does that work full-time.
Everything from a single replacement front door for a Georgian townhouse to a full package of doorsets for a new-build apartment block. Our speciality remains arched and curved doors — round-top, segmental, gothic, ogee and Tudor profiles — but the workshop also produces front doors, internal sets, French doors, fire doors, security doorsets and bespoke joinery to architect's specification.
Every job starts with a survey. For arched and curved doors that means a physical template, not just measurements on a page. From there we produce CAD drawings (or hand sketches for traditional projects), agree material and finish, and book a workshop slot.
Manufacture combines traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery with modern engineered cores. The engineered core is the part that's evolved most in the last decade — it stops doors twisting and bowing in British weather, even on large openings. We finish in our spray booth so doors arrive on site ready to hang.
Our workshop is at Hembs Crescent, in Birmingham, West Midlands. Our installation teams cover the United Kingdom — from Cornwall to the Highlands. For projects where a fitted installation isn't practical, we operate a supply-only service with detailed fitting drawings.
We work mainly in European oak, sapele, accoya, idigbo, walnut and ash. FSC-certified timber is available on request, and we operate a no-tropical-hardwood policy outside of approved supply chains. Engineered cores are sourced from European mills.
We manufacture and install to current British standards. Fire doors are BWF-Certifire or Q-Mark certified. Security doors meet PAS 24:2022 as standard, with LPS 1175 SR2-SR4 available for commercial projects. Heritage and conservation work is approached in line with Historic England guidance, and we are comfortable supporting listed building consent applications.
