Authentic replication and sympathetic restoration of period doors for listed buildings, conservation areas and heritage projects. Worked from original mouldings, glass patterns and ironmongery.
Every period & heritage doors project from Arch-Door is built around the specifics of your opening, your property and your finish preferences.
Period & Heritage Doors from Arch-Door are manufactured in our West Midlands workshop and installed by our own fitting teams across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. For supply-only orders we ship throughout the UK, with detailed fitting drawings supplied for your installer.
Where it makes sense for the door type, we use engineered cores wrapped in solid timber lippings. This combination stops doors twisting and bowing — a common failure mode in solid-timber doors under British weather. Traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery handles the structural connections.
Doors can be supplied unfinished, primed, painted, stained, oiled or factory-spray-finished. We hold a full RAL chart and standard timber stain swatches; bespoke colours matched on request.
Period & Heritage Doors are specified for a wide range of project types: residential refurbishments, new-build housing, listed building work, commercial fit-outs, hospitality and high-end residential. Whatever the application, we'll tailor the specification — fire rating, security rating, acoustic performance, thermal performance — to suit.
For a bespoke residential period & heritage door doorset, supplied and installed. Sizes, hardwoods, glazing and security/fire ratings can push the figure either side of this range. Send us a brief for an exact quote.
